Newhaven - West Quay

We are used to working with development partners, often acting as a facilitator in the process to secure delivery programmes. In the case of West Quay, Newhaven, Belstone acted for Sea Containers in securing a grant in excess of £1M from the Government agency, SEEDA and played a key role in the co-ordination of other significant grant applications totaling in excess of £3M. This important regeneration project provided 66 new dwellings, fishing / commercial facilities and significant areas of public open space as well as enhancing links to the existing marina

Droitwich - Waitrose food store

Belstone is used to working closely with clients to achieve successful outcomes on development projects, a good example of which is a significant town centre development / regeneration project in the heart of Droitwich. Acting on behalf of Waitrose, Belstone secured agreements with a number of property owners to achieve a site assembly for the project and worked closely with the planners at Wychavon District Council on the scheme layout.

St Johns, Worcester - Sainsbury food store

Land assembly projects often require a focused approach to achieve a site which is ready for development and Belstone was able to achieve this on a site to the rear of High Street, St Johns where Sainsburys developed a new food store. Belstone undertook negotiations with all of the key land owners including Worcestershire County Council and was closely involved in negotiations with planners at Worcester City Council over a number of years.

Chatham Maritime - Regeneration of former Royal Navy Dockyard

Belstone acted as a consultant to English Partnerships in developing an estate management strategy on this major 350 acre regeneration project and carried out pioneering work in developing the award-winning exit strategy including the setting up of a charitable trust thereby securing the long term management of the common parts of residential and commercial developments.

Relocation projects

We are able to provide effective advice at all stages throughout the development process and have worked on the following projects: Feltham, Middlesex - relocation of W G White Ltd from premises in Action, sold by Belstone to a local housing association, to purpose built premises at Heathrow; Dagenham - relocation of British Traders & Shippers from a warehouse in Dagenham, sold by Belstone for retail warehouse development, to refurbished warehouse / office premises closeby; Lowestoft - project co-ordination of a scheme to provide AKD Engineering with new, purpose built offices with grant secured from EEDA to pay for abnormal site costs and clean up contaminated land.
